OUR HOUSE
Villa Marta lleva vinculada a nuestra familia hace ya casi un siglo, es nuestra casa y estamos encantados de ser tus anfitriones.
En la zona también nos conocen como la casa de los panaderos, actividad que tuvo lugar en la edificación durante gran parte del siglo XX.
Estamos en Renedo de Piélagos, a escasos metros de la estación de tren, y de todos los servicios que ofrece un área urbana, con la ventaja de ser una finca privada con jardín y aparcamiento. Nuestra ubicación es un fantástico punto de partida para conocer muchos de los lugares emblemáticos de Cantabria
El municipio de Piélagos forma parte del Geoparque Costa Quebrada, lugar geológico de la UNESCO. Dicen que es una de las costas más bellas, singulares y salvajes del mundo. National Geographic se enamoró de La Arnía, describiéndola como la insólita y bellísima playa prehistórica de Cantabria.
Si lo tuyo es el Arte Rupestre, estás de suerte, tenemos 10 cuevas Patrimonio de la Humanidad y el Monte Castillo está a escasos 12 km de Villa Marta. Visitar las cuevas de Las Monedas y El Castillo es una experiencia única.
Amantes del románico ¡ojo al dato! 1 Colegiata y 2 iglesias románicas, con algunos de los mejores y variados canecillos historiados, las tenemos a tiro de piedra; Sta. Cruz de Socobio (Castañeda), San Andrés y Sta. María en Cayón.

The garden
We enjoy a privileged garden. Some of our rose bushes were planted more than 30 years ago. Geraniums cannot be missing in any house in Cantabria and we have them everywhere. Apple trees, pear trees, loquat trees, lemon trees and fig trees also have their space.
Although we are not an Indian house, we have an entrance of palm trees, a taste of the current owners and also very common in houses built between the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of the plants have been passed on cuttings at home, in the family home, and are inherited from our grandparents, parents, uncles. In short, the history of the garden is part of the history of the people who live there and who are your hosts.
